PSCCN welcome's Hailey Karcher to the team

Hailey Karcher joined the PSCCN team as a University of Washington Community Partner Fellow in July. She is currently a Ph.D .student at the University of Washington in Education Policy, Organizations, and Leadership. Her research interests include racial equity and education policy, including the racial politics of education, the geographic and spatial contexts of education, and the role of different types of advocacy in shaping educational opportunity. Most recently, she has worked as a research assistant studying school improvement and equity across the national, state, and local contexts. Before graduate school, Hailey worked as a 7th and 8th grade English teacher in Newark public schools. She holds an M.Ed. from UW and a B.A. from Northwestern University. She is excited to join the PSCCN team and engage in the critical work in capacity-building towards postsecondary opportunities. Please join us in welcoming her to our team!
