King County Promise Vision: All youth of color and other historically underserved young people, receive high-quality support to choose, pursue and succeed in their postsecondary path. Substantial system capacity is built across K-12, higher education, and communities to ensure more equitable support. Our institutions make significant improvements to coordinate, align, and simplify the journey to completion. Demonstrate to the state the programming, evidence-based practices, and staffing levels needed to achieve high postsecondary enrollment and success rates

In keeping with this vision, PSCCN holds a series of community engagement events to inform, consult, involve, and collaborate with Districts, CTCs, CBOs, students, and community leaders. Please see information on upcoming and past events below.

The PSCCN team anticipated a fall 2021 Phase 1 King County Promise partnership RFP release in connection with DCHS, with programming launching in fall 2022. We are still on track for a planned launch for programming for fall 2022, but the RFP release has been delayed due to PSTAA funding changes

The PSCCN team is working closely with DCHS to respond to the funding changes, while remaining in alignment with the Promise vision. We will share more details on the updated RFP process and the first phase of King County Promise programming as they are available from DCHS, anticipated to come over the next few weeks.

In addition, please be on the lookout for information on ways to remain engaged with King County Promise later this month, including opportunities to join Promise Advisory and Work Groups.

Thank you for your patience and continued support. For questions, please email psccn@psesd.org.
